Who Am I?
I was born and raised in Buenos Aires. After an unsuccessful attempt at a music career—during which I released two albums with my first band—I shifted my focus to another passion: visual storytelling and the audiovisual world. I studied graphic design before specialising in advertising.
I gained experience working with renowned agencies such as The Walt Disney Company, Leo Burnett, Wunderman, and Young & Rubicam, contributing to brands like Miramax, Disney, Diario La Nación, Ford, Microsoft, and Nokia.
In 2009, I moved to Madrid, where I worked at Cheil and McCann, handling major accounts such as Santander, Real Madrid, Samsung, and Vodafone. At McCann, I was promoted to Creative Supervisor, leading the digital team.
In 2013, I relocated to London for a startup role, eventually becoming Creative Director, overseeing the creative department, and collaborating with brands like Virgin and Bayer.
In 2016, I joined New, a project by Carlos Bayala (former Global Creative Director of Mother London and W+K). Starting from scratch with no clients, we built a portfolio that included global campaigns for brands such as NASA, MUBI, and Lego in the UK, Andes Origen in Argentina, and Modelo and Pacífico in Mexico, among many other non-profitable (and many times more interesting) projects.
My Vision
I believe in both traditional and digital media. I believe in constant change. I believe in the power of the streets—going out, listening to people, understanding what sparks their curiosity, the music they enjoy, the clothes they wear, how they influence each other, and the reasons behind their everyday choices. But life also happens online, and being offline is not an option.
Let’s be honest—AI is here. Robots can write, draw, take photos, and create faster and smarter than most of us. But we are still here too, made of flesh and feelings, and our work should reflect that. It’s not just about luck, data, or instinct. Those are valuable tools, but they mean nothing without honesty, hard work, and belief.
In an industry increasingly driven by data, testing, and fake work created for advertising awards, I still believe there’s a space in communication and advertising where film, images, sound, products, and design come together beautifully to shape—and hopefully inspire—popular culture. How great is that?
I engage with this ever-changing world every day. Make friends with the robots—don’t fight them. They’ll probably win in the end. But for now, enjoy the process. Walk the streets, stay responsibly connected, take everything in, and let it shape your work. Because on the other side, there are people who probably think and feel the same way we do.
Awards
There’s a quote by the art director and artist Gary Denham that goes, "Awards are like hemorrhoids—every arsehole gets them in the end." I couldn't agree more.
I’m not a fan of creative awards; they often feel like a contest to see who has the nicest belly button. In my view, the best recognition in our industry is when a brand genuinely becomes part of social conversation and popular culture. That’s not something you can chase—it just happens.
I’ve been fortunate enough to build brands that have achieved that, and I haven’t submitted any work to a creative festival in over a decade. However, some of the clients I’ve worked with have—and, as Gary says, I ended up with a few awards here and there. You’ll find the list in the next column.
